Why TableTurf exists

Many traditional games are easy to recognise but surprisingly hard to learn from a crowded interface. TableTurf keeps the table primary, reveals the action that matters now, and moves secondary controls into a consistent game menu. No account or download stands between the player and the first move.

The collection includes familiar standards and regional games that deserve a clear modern home. Each implementation aims to preserve the game’s real decisions rather than replace them with decorative animation or simplified rules.

How a game is prepared

1. Rules are modelled first. Deals, legal moves, scoring, turn order, end states, and edge cases are implemented as game logic rather than visual shortcuts.
2. The complete path is played. Games are exercised from setup through ordinary turns to a legitimate win, loss, or completed score.
3. Presentation is tested separately. Desktop, portrait mobile, and landscape mobile layouts are checked for hidden actions, clipped cards, unreadable states, and accidental scrolling before play can begin.
4. Help is kept close to the table. Every game includes a concise “How to play” panel. Longer strategy and comparison material lives in the learning library.

What “free” means here

Every catalog tile leads to a complete playable game. There are no trial rounds, account gates, or download prompts. Preferences and optional progress are stored on the current device. Advertising may support the service, but reserved placements are designed not to cover the game, imitate controls, or interrupt a decision.
